How can I simulate TPS71501 into TINA?

I'm trying to simulate a circuit with the TPS71501, and TINA is my last option, after triying with LTSPICE and EE-Sim.

I've downloaded the *.LIB file, but it is encrypted, so incompatible with TINA and the others.

Is there any way to do that?

Thanks.

  • Hi Pedro

We are allowed to share the unencrypted models only under selective disclosure to companies. Please have your local FAE contact us and make a request to share the model with you.

  • Hi Ranjani, thank you for your answer.

I tried with http://elabmodeling.itg.ti.com/ModelRequestSurvey.aspx, but that URL was down or something. And I'm working independently at the present time.

Finally I chose another IC (LT1317) which was equally suitable for my application and I made the simulation with LTSpice.
I'll ask you for any situation in the future, is there any free simulation software that works with all TI available models?
    Best regards.

  • Hi Pedro,

I apologize for any inconvenience. We have permission to release this model unencrypted. The unencrypted model is attached for your convenience.

Also, have you tried using WEBENCH Power Designer for your design and simulation needs for this device. Not only can you use this tool for simulation, you can also use this tool for design optimization. Just mention you Input and Output Specifications and the tool will provide multiple solutions that fit your needs. You can then optimize the solution for Size, Cost and Efficiency. Once you decide which part you want to use, you can perform electrical and thermal simulations in many cases and may also be able to export the schematic and board layout into popular CAD formats in order to move to the prototyping phase of your development.

You can access WEBENCH directly from www.ti.com.

Let me know if I can be of any other assistance.

    Thanks,

  • Thank you very much for your asistance Nikhil, this is what I was looking for. And I will also take a look into webench.

    Best regards.
