Problem with a Pspice model in TINA-TI

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Hi,

I imported the file attached in TINA-TI software (version 9.3) and got the message "Successfully compiled". Then I tried to create a macro (Tools | New Macro Wizard) using AC_INPUT_PT.cir as the file in the "From file" input. After I selected "Auto generate shape" option, and pressed Next button, the following errors were shown:

   1. "Undefined model: E.(C:\Program Files (x86)\DesignSoft\Tina 9 - TI\EXAMPLES\SPICE\TSPICE.LIB)"
   2. "The circuit cannot be opened or cannot be converted to a macro."

Is there anything wrong with this file or I am doing something wrong?

Thanks,

Cícero.

AC_INPUT_PT.cir
  • Cicero,

The model for the photo transistor is a BJT model (NPN to be more specific) that has been instantiated with 4 nodes. I am fairly certain that the device does not need the extra E specified. Change the instantiation to:

    Q1 C B E QT1090

TINA should then load the macro for you. I do not know how accurate the macro is, however.
