Tina-TI Generic Component Macro Libraries

In several of the reference designs available, there are components for capacitors, inductors, etc. that I would like to include in my designs.  Are these available in a library somewhere.  Two specific examples are the LDCR and the CESR components.  The LDCR would be easy to recreate as the macro is available to view, but the CESR component is encrypted.

  • Ken,

It is possible to add the components of interest into another design.
Simply click on the symbol and do the usual copy-and-paste sequence.

You can also create your own stand-alone macros (*.TSM) to a folder and then add it to a schematic by using the Insert/macro command.
Step 1: Copy-and-paste the component to a blank schematic page.
Step 2: Select Tools/Export Macro and save the macro as a *.TSM to the desired folder.
Step 3: Use the Insert/Macro menu to place the *.TSM into a schematic.

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any more quesitons.

    Regards,
    John

  • Ken,

Please see the attached .TSC file. It has both with symbols already created. You can use ctrl-C and ctrl-V to cut and paste the symbols into schematics (as John pointed out). The macros are self contained.
