TINA beginner - irregular circuit

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

I'm having difficulty getting a circuit model in TINA to work (3005.Deliyannis.TSC). The circuit is intended to be a simple test of a single supply modified deliyannis filter centered at 40kHz. It keeps saying VF1 has an unconnected pin which will be connected to ground & capacitor C4 has an unconnected pin which will be connected to ground, then the analysis popup shows an irregular circuit error. I recheck the ERC and the errors go away, but the analysis will not run.

Apologies for a question that probably gets asked too often, but I did try to search for the answer and the solutions did not seem to help in this case. Much thanks for any help!

  • Allen,

The irregular circuit happens when a node does not have a clear path to ground (like two capacitors in series). If you change the Shunt Conductance from 0 to 1p your circuit should run correctly. This is simply a different default in TINA-TI than in other simulators. Simply choose Analysis-->Set analysis Parameters. Find the Shunt Conductance value and change it to 1p.
