Net names or Wire Names in TINA-TI

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Hi,

we are simulating a circuit in TINA-TI. I have different sections in circuit. Inputs or Outputs will be connected between different sections.

TINA-TI is not allowing to give net names (if I am wrong, Please correct me).

1. How to connect 2 nets using names (not directly connecting them using wires)

One Ex: I have a Supply rail derived from 3 Voltage sources using diode OR-ing. This derived voltage will be going to multiple places in same page.

In Cadence capture, we can define net name, then use the same name to connect.

Can this be done in TINA-TI

2. What are the uses of INPUT(Insert--> INPUT) and OUTPUT(Insert-OUTPUT) in TINA-TI.

  • Malli,

The easiest way to connect in TINA-TI is using the jumper:

You can name the jumper by double left clicking on it. Connectivity is estabilised between the same named jumpers. Node ID's do not provide connectivity in TINA-TI.

I have never used the insert input or insert output options in TINA-TI. I am not sure how they are to be used properly. I use meters for my outputs and sources for my inputs.
