simulation model

Hello,

I want to know what's the difference between  Transiant Pspice model and Pspice model of a component ?  Have they the same behavior in pspice simulation?

Cordially,

  • Hilal,

A Transient PSpice model is used for time domain based simulations. This distinction is made for components where a different model architecture is needed for a frequency based (AC or Bode Plot) model is required. For many signal chain applications, there is one model that can be used for all types of simulation. For power IC's, separate models may be required for different analysis.

A PSpice model is simply a model that runs in PSpice. For single components (not IC's), these models can be used in all simulation types (Diodes, FETs, etc.). If no distinction is made, the model can normally be used in any simulation analysis.
