TINA/Spice/TPS54560-Q1: TINA Simulation Error (Operating Point not found)

Part Number: TPS54560-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI, TPS54560

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

I'm trying to evaluate compensation loop network on TPS54560 using TINA simulation tool. The simulation is working fine (both transient & AC response) but it is throwing some error  for AC response with modified design (working fine for transient response). Tried to debug by changing DC iteration number but no help. Attached screenshot of error and also modified design file. 7713.webench_design_4629302_16.tsc

  • Harish,

The WEBENCH exported design to TINA-TI is a Transient (time domain) model only. You can not use that to simulate AC response for Switching Circuits. For this you will have to manually get the Average Model from the "Tools and Software" tab in the product folder and change the components to match your new circuit.

Alternately, you can try to do these calculations in WEBENCH itself - Look at Charts section or Simulation section for Bode Plots.
