PCM2704C

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM4990, PCM2704C

Looking to utilize the TI audio DAC with USB interface (PCM2704C) along with the audio power amplifier (LM4990 BOOMER) for a current PCB design.  Are there SPICE models/files available for these components?  I see I can download the IBIS model for the PCM2704C, but unfortunately the National Instruments MultiSim 11.0 software I'm using is not compatible with IBIS models.  Can anyone recommend a IBIS to SPICE converter?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Greg,

I do not believe that we have PSpice models for either device unfortunately. I do not know if converting the IBIS model to a SPICE format would help since the IBIS models would only model the digital pins of the device and not the functionality of the actual IC.

I believe that there are converters available, but I would make sure that the IBIS model has the information you need before going through the conversion process. More about IBIS models can be found here:

  • Greg,

Unfortunately we don't have simulation models other that the available at the product folder.
We can however support your product development through schematic and design revision as well as support on issues you could have with both PCM2704C and LM4990.

  • Thank you for your response.  I was able to download the IBIS model and import it into the schematic software I am using.  The PCM2704C product datasheet states it has 28 pins.  The IBIS model, however, only has 14 pins.  Is there a reason for this?
