Hey there. I'm using this LMZ14202 model in TINA TI and I'm trying to do an Efficiency Report just as in LTSPICE but I can't seem to find a way to do it. Ideally it would be better to do it in LTSPICE because it's the main platform we use in our company but the model in LTSPICE doesn't simulate, something's wrong. In TINA I can simulate the model but I can't seem to get the efficiency. Can someone provide me a way of doing this?

Hi, thanks for your suggestion, is this really the only way of getting the efficiency of my circuit? We're trying to standardize the simulations of our components and we're giving preference to LTSPICE or TINA for simulations.

Gabriel,

In order to get accurate efficiency numbers, all losses must be taken into consideration. In behavioral models, the drivers are rudimentary in terms of rise/fall time modeling and may not model the losses accurately. This can be done much better in analytical equations which is used inside WEBENCH. In fact we match Efficiency numbers in WEBENCH to bench data within a tight tolerance so have high confidence that WEBENCH will give you very accurate results (more so than spice).
