TINA/Spice/UCC28089: Does anyone have a SPICE model? Can TI create one?

Part Number: UCC28089
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI, , UC1846, LM5030

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

TI does not appear to offer a SPICE model for the UCC28089 Push/Pull controller with programmable dead time.  If anyone has one, I would greatly appreciate sharing.  If not, is there a place to request that TI create one for this IC?

Thanks,

Don Lucas

  • Don,

This is an old device and we do not have a model for it or any plan to develop it at this time. Could you evaluate UC1846 which has an available spice model?

Alternately, you can look at the link below to find all available spice models and use the search box and column filters to narrow down to a model that may be applicable for your design.
  • Thanks, Nikhil -

I will take a look at a different IC. I actually thought that this one was a new one. For some reason, this question won't allow me to mark this as the answer so maybe you can do so for me. I must have two logins to this site or something like that.

    Thanks again -
    Don Lucas
  • On the other hand, I just discovered that the UC1846 is a $30-$50 military grade part (I need the +125C rating) and offered only in CDIP or LCC so that part is out! I did find the LM5030 though, and that appears to be appropriate for my design so I will use that instead. It also costs $0.99 in 1k quantities, according to the TI web site.
