Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models
Hello everyone,
I have simulated the following reference design using TINA TI V9: http://www.ti.com/tool/PMP9087
I was expecting 12 V output voltage but after 21 seconds of transient analysis, it shows output voltage in the micro voltage range. Am I doing something wrong ?
Find attached the circuit schematic used and the MACROS needed to perform the simulation.
Hi Catalin,
I have looked into your application schematic and have few queries about it.
1. Why VDD is given as input from cathode of DN4148 ( which is derived from VOUT node)?
2. Why GND pin is connected at switching node?
Regards,
Saket
Hi Saket,
Regarding your questions, I do not know the answers, I simply simulated the schematic given in the reference design shown by TI (see the schematic of this reference design: http://www.ti.com/tool/PMP9087).
Probably S Yu can answer those questions since he is the engineer who built that (see notes of the design in the schematic).
I know the IC controller used, the typical application is a flyback converter, but if this circuit works as a buck, I will use it.

Catalin
Hi Catalin,
I am using 16.2 Allegro Design Entry CIS.
I have attached the TINA schematic which when exported to Pspice worked on my system.
You can try to simulate Pspice model (available at below link) with TINA test bench attached here & can see if that works for you.
