I'm trying to simulate the INA300 in TINA, using the model downloaded from the TI website. The enable pin does not appear to to anything. Why is this?SimulateSmartT.TSC

Hi Tony,

Would you please let us know how long did you run your simulation? The enable/disable switching is not instantaneous.

Just for clarification I have a simulation that runs 0.05 s on either side of the negative edge applied to the enable pin. Performance of the part is identical before and after the level of enable is changed.

Tony,
If the sim starts out with the ENABLE pin LOW, then the model's output is disabled, as it should be.
Once the ENABLE pin goes HIGH, pulling it LOW again has no effect.

So there is something weird going on with a latch inside the model.

It will take some time to diagnose the root cause and come up with a fix.
I will post an update on the progress early next week.

Tony,

We will have to do some re-design of the digital control circuits within this model.
I can't give a completion date at this time but I will reply to this thread once the new model is available.
