TINA/Spice/LM5017: Error "Time step too small, trouble with node ux:u2_qb_nd"

Hi,

I am using LT Spice simulation tool to simulate one design which includes LM5017, unfortunately I am getting time out error saying that "Time step too small, trouble with node u1:u2_qb_nd" where u1 is LM5017 ref designator. See spice error log below:

Please help me to understand the issue here.

Error on line 137 : .model u1:_u3_s7:_u3_s7 vswitch roff=1e7 ron=1e3 vh=2v vt=2.5v td=0

Hi Sunney,

Due to legal issues (LTSPice EULA), we can not support models in LTSpice. Alternately, you can use TINA-TI or PSpice model.

Thanks for your response.

I understand the issue here, however will you able to at least tell me whats going on here, since the rest circuitry is running fine until I include LM5017 to get this error "Time step is too small".

Thanks for reaching out to us. As I mentioned above, we can not support for models in LTSPice.
Please let us know if you face any issue while using TINA-TI or PSpice.

Hi Sunney,

You will need an unencrypted model in order to import it into TINA-TI.
If you are new to TINA-TI, it is a free simulator from TI and the short video training series will help you get ramped up on this.
