    Ahmet,

We tried to do a fresh install of SwitcherPro desktop version on Windows XP SP3. It worked fine. Please find the details of my machine below.

Do you already have an older version installed or is this a fresh install?  I would recommend you to do a fresh install and this time don’t pick the first option "Yes, migrate my designs". Please let us know if this helps.

    Thanks,

    --Abhi

    Hello Abhi,

    Thanks for the answer.

I did a fresh install with the same version you did, and did not pick the option "Yes, migrate my designs". However, this didn't help at all. I still have the problem.

    Ahmet,

Would it be possible for you to send us the 'SwitcherProDT.evt' log file. Here are the steps on how this can be done:

    • Right click on 'MyComputer'.
    • Select and click 'Manage'.
    • Select under Computer Management-> System Tools -> Event Viewer-> SwitcherProDT.
    • Right click -> Save Log File As
    • Save this anywhere on your machine and send it to us.

Also, please send us the information of your OS using the following steps:

    • Right click on 'MyComputer'.
    • Click on 'Properties'
    • Under 'General' category. Please send us the exact information under 'System'.

Is there a way you can use the web version in the mean time?

    Thanks & Regards,

    --Abhi

    Ahmet,

Thanks for sending us the OS details. One thing that I noticed is, you are using Turkish version of OS. That could possibly be a problem. However, I would still need SwitcherProDT event log to be able to investigate this in detail.

    • Right click on 'MyComputer'.
    • Select and click 'Manage'.
    • Select under Computer Management-> System Tools -> Event Viewer-> SwitcherProDT.
    • Right click -> Save Log File As
    • Save this anywhere on your machine and send it to us.

Is it possibly for you to use online version in the mean time (as an alternative)?

    Thanks & Regards,

    -Abhi

    Hi Ahmet,

We were able to reproduce this issue. The problem is installing SwitcherPro on Windows XP SP3 with Turkish regional language settings. Unfortunately at this point we do not plan to fix this. However you can do one of the following.

    1) Use SwitcherPro online version.

    2) Install SwitcherPro Desktop on Windows XP SP3 with US-en language settings.

    Thanks & Regards,
