Eagle webench import pcb problem

HI i need help importing PCB and schematic in Eagle 6.6 from WEBENCH.

First when i load the library in eagle i get error so i found in this forum how to import schematic, but the parts aren't connecting to the grid again.

PCB 5.zip

Sema 4.zip

Please can anyone help me load the pcb layout in eagle.

Thanks .

  • Hello Pance,

I apologize that you had some issues importing the eagle files. The issue was caused by the inductor symbol to footprint mapping issue. The physical footprint contained 3 pins while the symbol only has 2 pins so it caused the script failure during the import process to Eagle.

We are looking to fix this problem but in the meantime, I have created a similar design using a two terminal inductor footprint by selection custom component to allow the import process to work. I have included both downloaded zipped files and the translated file here.

Since I have used a custom L1, you will need to make the inductor change back to the SER footprint.

  • Hello Howard

I need to make more different circuits from webench so if it is possible can you explain how you menage to fix this problem?

  • Hello Pance,

If the import issue does come up again, Eagle flags the part number that failed to import. Go back to the WEBENCH BOM panel to identify the part number caused the issue and select an alternative component to replace it. If there is none other than the design came up with, then select the custom button at the bottom of the panel in the Alternate component panel. Or you can just use the custom component to substitute for the problematic one.

Let us know if you have more questions.
