LM43600 Design

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM43600

Hi,

I designed in LM43600, but the parts of the datasheat can't be used.

The condition is 12Vin 5Vout 0.5A 500kHz.

Datasheat is 33uH,66uF but Webench is 47uF,22uF and can't select ceramic capacitor.

Which part is recommended?

And Bode-Plot simulation is not available. Why?

  • Hi Hirotsugu-san,

The algorithm in WEBENCH is based on the Optimizer Dial setting. Setting 3 is for Optimized Setting which takes Size, Cost and Efficiency into account. Setting 1 is tuned for smallest size and setting 5 for highest efficiency. As such the component selection can differ slightly from what is mentioned in the Datasheet or EVM document which is a static design.

If you need to select alternate capacitors (or any component in general), click on the BOM page. From this page, you can select alternate capacitors from the WEBENCH database. If you do not see a capacitor that you want to use, you can also create a custom cap from the bottom left hand corner.

As far as the Bode Plots are concerned, we are looking to enable the Spice simulations for this shortly. In the mean time, you can still look at the loop response from the charts section. Also the crossover, phase margin, etc are mentioned under the "Operating Values" section as well.

    Thanks,
