Wide Input with 5V,6A output

Hi,

I need a help to select one regulator. My requirements indicated below.

1) Input range > 20V (I'm planned to feed 19.5V input)
2) Output = 5V, 6A

I gone through web-bench. But I couldn't select the regulator for above my specification. So could you help. It will be really appreciated.

Azlum,

When I enter 20V Vinmin and 22V Vinmax, I got 33 different designs generated for 5V vout at 6A.

Hello, Thanks !

When I open the reference design of LM3150, I seen two MOSFET M1 (HG) and M2 (LG) are placed. Could you let me know that, what is the use of M1 and M2 here ?

Azlum,

The two MOSFETs are the high side and low side FETs used in the Switched Model Power Supply (SMPS). Since the LM3150 is a synchronous buck controller, the flyback diode (standard buck topology) is replaced with a transistor to incerase efficiency and minimize losses.
