WEBENCH® Tools/TPS562200: Difference between the schematic and the eagle file

Part Number: TPS562200

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hello from Spain,

My name is Jose and I have a problem with this design.

I want to implement my circuit on a pcb, the problem is that a resistor called 'Ren' (what i guess it works as protection) appears in the Eagle file but is not in the components list of the design or schematic.

Would it be any problem if i delete the resistance from my Eagle file?

Thank you very much and greetings

  • Hi Jose,

The Ren Resistor is there to connect the enable pin to the vin. This enables the device. In the schematic you can see how its just shorted to Vin. If you leave the Ren resistor off and don't short the Enable pin to Vin the device will not turn on.

    Hope this clears things up.

    Jason
