Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools
I had the design below:
with TPS40170 and the power FETs were changed out from the selection list to lower the dissipation power loss and temperatures of the devices. Then I went back to check the compensation network to see if it was automatically re-adjusted. The numbers in the Re-Comp tab showed pretty good:
PM 66.15
COF 34.3k
LF Gain 72.89
Gain Margin -23.25
however when I use the Sim tab to run the Bode Plot the number for low frequency was 54.28 way lower than what in Re-Comp calculation. All other numbers are fairly close.
So, what's the difference between them? Thank you!
