WEBENCH® Tools/LM5160: Webench not showing voltage losses. Also not showing isolated designs.

Part Number: LM5160

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

I open Webench using http://www.ti.com/design-tools/overview.html, request a design for 14VIN – 22VIN, 4VOUT, 1A IOUT, Isolated power supply. I select the first design in the list which uses an LM5160.

I’m using a recent Chrome on Windows 10.

When I simulate using Webench, the “Vout iso” is only related to the transformer turns ratio. It seems to ignore anything else like diode Vf etc.

=> Is that to be expected?

=> Also, I cannot see any graph of output voltage ripple. Is there a way to display it in Webench?

=> The edit button in the schematic doesn’t seem to do anything.

CCT can be seen on Webench here:

Another question:

I open webench from a DIFFERENT page, the LM5160 landing page: http://www.ti.com/product/LM5160.

I do the same as above, request a design for 14VIN – 22VIN, 4VOUT, 1A IOUT, ISOLATED power supply.

Webench opens with a NON-Isolated buck converter design using just an inductor, not a transformer.

=>Why does it not show an isolated design?

Thanks in advance,

Paul
