WEBENCH® Tools/LM5176: Power Architect WeBench Development tool

Part Number: LM5176

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

hello,

I am currently working on a voltage regulation circuit that can handle approx. 24VDC at 10A.

The webench design is using the LM5176PWPR but none are available, is the LM5176PWPT the same pinout as far as the schematic below?

some other questions:

1) Does the LM5176 need an external oscillator to function, or does it have an internal crystal oscillator.

2) Based on the webench design, is this schematic ready to be prototyped physically? All of the webench simulations seemed great.

3) Novice question: What do the circled symbols in the attached figure below mean?

## attached below is the figure and the webench design link

Thank You,

Zach

  • Hi Zachary,

The LM5176 schematic has same pin numbers for the LM5176PWPR and LM5176PWPT package. This information is given in the datasheet. As shown below.

1.LM5176 has an internal oscillator whose frequency is set by the RT resistor. Please find the detailed information in the datasheet. As shown below.

    2. Yes.This device can be prototype physically.

    3. The circled symbols in the schematic are the jumpers which are connected to another jumper of the same name to avoid long wire connection between two nodes. As shown in the below example.

Please let me know if you have any other query on same.

    Thanks & Regards,
