WEBENCH® Tools: Enhanced LLC Transformer design seems to be undersized..

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC256303

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi

 We tried to design an 500W, 500 kHz, Half bridge LLC dc-dc converter using webench. ( Input - 290 ~390 V DC, o/p - 19V @ )

I'm also attaching the Transformer design document from webench. It shows a Secondary winding RMS current of 53.7 A for which

a 31 AWG of 27 strands is given for secondary winding.  A 31 AWG can carry around 0.4 A, how could 27 strands

of such 31 AWG could carry 53.7 A... Pls clarify.

And also the core size given is an EE25, even this 32AWG of 27 strands could not be terminated in those bobbins...

Thanks

Lenin.
