Please help answer my customer's question on this EVM:
From what I can tell it looks like things are extremely coupled to LEDs, at least in the controller 3435. This is not anything we would need in our application and I am struggling to figure out how to control the DMD in a way that I want. For instance if I want a single column of micromirrors “on” and the rest off how do I command this? The only way I have been able to find is to use “External Video Source Select”, which uses the parallel port to take in RBG values. But it looks like this is from the hdmi signal. Is there a way I can do this with my own DIO hardware?
Another path that might work is to bypass the 3435 controller altogether and simply command the DMD myself. Is there any documentation or examples on how this can be done?
