Hi,

I have a DLP Lightcrafter 4500 and I would like to use it with a CW laser (638nm). Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any information on the laser damage threshold of the unit. Could you please advise me on the laser damage threshold of the components in the DLP lightcrafter 4500, or direct me to somewhere with the relevant information?

Hello Cheryl,

You can find information related to maximum power for a given wavelength on the DLP4500 datasheet. If you look at section 6.4 you will see that in the 420nm to 700nm range you will be thermally limited. As you likely saw in the related post (e2e.ti.com/.../600725) there are many other factors that need to be tested to ensure safe operation that depend on a variety of factors. It looks like a parentheses was added to the end of it. Try e2e.ti.com/.../600725
