DLPLIGHTCRAFTER: No light come out from the lightcrafter

Dear TI,

I've bought 6 DLP for setting up a visual experiment.

Two days ago, one of the DLPs stopped outputting light.

The indicating LEDs on the PCBs are still blinking as usual, but no LEDs is blinking at the front side (below the ribbon PCB).

Is it the problem of the light source?

How do I check it without violating the warranty (purchased from Digikey)?

Hi Jiaqi,

There are red & green status LEDs on the board, let us know the exactly what color LEDs blinking..

I was trying to get a replaced module from Digikey, but they insist me talk to TI first.
Please let me know if the DLP is fixable without violating the warranty.

If there is no reply, I would assume the DLP is not fixable without violating the warranty, and ask Digikey for a replacement.

(I really think it's no need to spend too much time on this low-level quality issue of LEDs and waste everybody's precious time.)

Hi Jiaqi,

We checked on our end, it seems that the projection LEDs have got damaged. Your best course of action is to get it replaced.
