DLPC350: Switch to rest mode using external trigger

Hi TI community,

We would like to put the DMD in rest mode (a mode, where it does not suffer damage quickly, e.g. flat mirror positions or constantly refreshing) while it is not needed. However, we can not use the the USB interface for doing so.

Can anyone think of a way to switch to rest mode (and back to pattern sequence mode) using an external trigger signal?

Hi Sanjeev,

thanks for pointing out that command.
We used I2C to send it.
After sending the unpark command, patterns are displayed as expected.
Sending the park command puts the device in parked mode, also as expected.
However, after about 1 second the DMD switches back on and displays the inverted pattern of the pattern that was diplayed at the instant when the park command was sent!
The Gui program still shows the DMD in parked mode until we send the next unpark command.

Any idea where this strange behaviour is coming from?

Robert,
We have fixed the strange behavior issue with DMD park command as seen with F/W v3.1; this will fixed in new f/w revision v4.0.2. Please look into the DLPR350 F/W page for the update. Currently the new f/w is going under testing it will be available in next month.
