DLPLCRD-GUI: Installing GUI of 4710-G2 EVM on Android OS based device

Part Number: DLPLCRD-GUI
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC3439, DLPNIRNANOEVM

Hello

We would like to install DLPLCRD-GUI of 4710-G2 EVM to an Android OS based tablet.

Is there an Android Version of the GUI available? If not, is there a way to run the Windows version on an Android OS?

Thanks

Mirac Parlatan

  • Hi Mirac,

The DLPLCRD-GUI is meant for evaluation purposes only and not intended to be used as a final product. As such, only a Windows version is available.

At it's core, the GUI simply sends and receives commands via the I2C interface. You can develop your own Android application that performs the same functions. Please refer to the DLPC3439 Software Programmer's Guide for this.

  • Hi Azad

Thank you for your reply. Our intention is not to use it as a final product either, but to control the unit with an Android OS device for test purposes.
Is it something possible for TI to provide the GUI as Android Application?

    Thanks
    Mirac
  • Hi Mirac,

Unfortunately this is not something we'd be able to accommodate in our development bandwidth.

However, there are instances where third-party app developers have developed Android apps for TI products. KS Technologies is one such third-party developer who have developed an Android app for the DLPNIRNANOEVM. You may reach out to them directly if you want to avail their services.
