DLP650LNIR: NEW DLP chip supporting higher power near-infrared applications

Part Number: DLP650LNIR

TI recently released the DLP650LNIR (.65 WXGA DMD with NIR window).  With this release, DLP® Products is expanding into higher optical power applications using near-infrared (NIR) lasers.  TI.com has also been updated to reflect this extended NIR capability.

The DLP650LNIR is capable of thermally reacting, melting, and even ablating target materials and is supported by the most advanced DLP high speed controller platform available today.   Example NIR end equipments include selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printers, laser marking for product packaging, flat panel repair, and industrial digital printers just to name a few.  Check out this white paper with more information about the benefits of DLP technology for NIR applications.

 DLP650LNIR key specs:

  • Efficient Steering of NIR Light ( 800 nm to 2000 nm)
  • Up to 160 W Incident on DMD
  • Window Transmission Efficiency >98% @ 950 nm to 1150 nm
  • 16-Bit, 2xLVDS, 400-MHz Input Data Bus
  • Binary Pattern Rates up to 12.5 kHz
  • Global, Single, Dual, and Quad Block Mirror Clocking Pulse (Reset) Operational Modes
