Can I replace DEVASYS with other USB-I2C adapter in DLP lightCrafter GUI?
Hi Azad
Thanks for your replay. Currently, we have designed a driver board based on DLPC3438&DLPA3000+MSP430G2452 MCU to control the optical machine.
The image can be displayed normally, but the MSP430 cannot control the DLPC3438 to do something by I2C. so we want to use GUI to debug the driver board, and we don't have the cypress chip on the board and Devasys.
So do you have any suggestion to control this driver board by my windows PC.
thanks

Hi, Azad
Currently, I tried to use GUI to connect the DPLC3438 by Cyusbs236 DVK board. I connected SBC0 to I2C port of DLPC3438, but I got an error message. I attached the error message and my DVK board setting. could you help to checked it and give me some suggestions.
Zhang,
MSP430 is required and must be running the reference code in order for the GUI to work. Please refer to my reply on this thread to understand why: e2e.ti.com/.../774076
The same approach is required for DLP LightCrafter Display EVMs. In your case, the Cypress is trying to perform the handshaking but doesn't get any response, which is why you're getting this error in the GUI.

Azad
