DLPDLCR3010EVM(not G2) :Can't use DLP LightCrafter GUI

Can you explain when this error occured? Did you get this error on starting the GUI or after a specific action?

I think Cypress USB-Serial Configuration Utility option is wrong.
How do I set it up?(SCB0,SCB1-I2C,SPI?)

Are you able to read your EVM's Cypress chip configuration using the Cypress USB-Serial Configuration Utility? If so, can you share your current settings?

But the same error occurred.

Connect the EVM to USB:

Push the "Get" button:

Projector and switches are working .

I think that firmware is no problem.

Hi Rei,

Can you confirm that you're using the DLPLCRD-GUI v7.0? If so, please try the DLPDLC-GUI and see if you're getting the same error.

I used DLP LightCrafter Display v7.0.

I installed DLPDLC-GUI.

Push the 'Get" button.

Error message:

Get EVM Information Error!

Error while trying to gain access to the I2C bus.

Hi Rei,

Did you reflash the MSP430 on the EVM or is it running the factory default code?

The Cypress bridge must be the I2C master in order for the GUIs to work. It's possible that the MSP430 is not relinquishing control of the bus, which could be why you're getting these errors.

Can you trying reflashing the MSP430 on the EVM with the reference code available here: www.ti.com/.../DLPDLCR2010EVM
