DLP2000: Brightness control

Part Number: DLP2000
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPDLCR2000EVM, , DLPC2607

Greetings, I am wanting to test the maximum brightness of the DLPDLCR2000EVM.

Steps taken (found in forum)

debian@beaglebone:~$ i2cset -y 2 0x1b 0x12 0x0 0x0 0x0 0x000 i

debian@beaglebone:~$ i2cset -y 2 0x1b 0x13 0x0 0x0 0x0 0x000 i

debian@beaglebone:~$ i2cset -y 2 0x1b 0x14 0x0 0x0 0x0 0x000 i

debian@beaglebone:~$ i2cset -y 2 0x1b 0x3A 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x01 i

debian@beaglebone:~$ i2cset -y 2 0x1b 0x38 0x00 0x00 0x00 0xD3 i

debian@beaglebone:/opt/scripts/device/bone/capes/DLPDLCR2000$  export DISPLAY=:0

debian@beaglebone:/opt/scripts/device/bone/capes/DLPDLCR2000$ python MplayerTest.py

This should output 30 lumens if I understand correctly.

I can't tell if it visibly brighter or not. The DLP2000 is 25" away from where the image is projected.

Is this the right process to set the LEDs for maximum output? Is running the MplayerTest.py script a valid test?

I appreciate your assistance,

Jack
