DLP4500-C350REF: Program On/off Gap in the pattern display

Part Number: DLP4500-C350REF

We are working with the DLP LC 4500. We want to display the following sequence: an image similar to the "Solid Field" Internal test pattern in video mode, and then turn the display OFF for a specified amount of time, and then display the image again. How can we do this in the pattern sequence control? When we upload a blank image, the DLP does not turn off. It continues to display kight. We would like the DLP to not display anything automatically, similar to pressing "Stop" in the pattern sequence control, without having to manually press stop.

  • Hello Kathy,

Could you please clarify why uploading a black pattern doesn't work for your case? Do you need to avoid all stray light output?

    Thanks,

    Kyle

  • Kathy,

Are you just trying to extend the dark time between patterns in a pattern sequence?  If that's the case then you can do that by making the pattern period setting longer than the pattern exposure setting.  Then when using internal trigger the pattern will be displayed for the selected exposure time, then the LED will turn off and nothing will be displayed for the remainder of the pattern period.

You can also use an external trigger and control the dark time between patterns by adjusting the period of the trigger.
