DLPC3439: Update DLPC3439 firmware

Part Number: DLPC3439

Hi TI expert，

   I have a DLP LightCrafter™ Display 4710 EVM Gen2 Module, I want change the firmware(dpp3439-dual-ASIC_1.6.0.img), no LED light when power on, until  I2C command.

But use the DLP-LightCrafter-Display-GUI-v7.4, the Firmware->Get started button is in gray color(disabled).

so my question: 1:Is there a perfect firmware version to download? 

                          2: Which GUI version can be used to rebuild this firmware(v1.6)?

                          3: how to avoid DLPA's error when poweron(1 or all LEDs is not connected)?

    Hi Tibusi,

    We are looking into your question. My understanding is that you would like to have the LED's disabled on boot. Then send an I2C command to enable the LED's?

    Hi Tibusi,

    you can get the latest firmware and latest GUI from here : http://www.ti.com/tool/DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2

    DLPC 3439 is meant for display application and Display application requires all three LED connected to the EVM. If any of LED is not connected DLPA will throw an error.

    Yes, you can control the illumination (All three should be connected, you can control individual on/off) using I2C command.

    For image update Make sure your EVM is connected... If you are seeing Grayed out then you can update the firmware using Advanced mode "Flash Image Update".  

    FYI - If your application requires any of the LED not connected then you should go for our Light control EVM which provides the feature for single or all three color illumination.
