DLPLCR6500EVM: Video mode on HDMI versus pattern mode "zero-level" difference

Part Number: DLPLCR6500EVM

Hello,

When using the DMD in pattern mode, we get an off-state that is completely off.

When using the device in video mode, I see some gray level, and I am unable to determine why, even if displaying an image that is completely black.

Is there a contrast or brightness adjustment that might be giving me some grayvalues instead of zeros?

Best,

  • Hello Lucien,

What are you sending when you get the off state in Pattern Mode?  If possible can you show the Pattern Design page for your pattern sequence?

Regarding the "gray" in video, please go to your driver settings to see if the the input range is set to "Limited" or "Full".  This may be called something different for your video card.  If set to limited it will not reach 0 or 255 for any color.
