WriteExternalImage, "input arg bpnum0b contains invalid value" error

Welcome to the DLP Forums and thanks for your question. I'm going to need a fair bit more information from you before we'll be able to help. If you could tell us what platform you're working with, what you're trying to do, what software you're using, etc.

We don't have experiencing writing in vb.net, so I'm not sure how much help we'll be, but let's see if there is anything we can do.

Sorry for not providing enough information.

I am trying to download a dbi. image to the DLP Controller Chip’s external image buffer memory.

- I am using windows 10 (64x) and I am writing the vb.net software for 64x as well.
- I found the dlpc200API 64x and it seems to work great.
- I am using CEL5500 Compact Modular Light Engine.

Because you're using the CEL5500, I would recommend that you contact DLi support: www.dlinnovations.com/.../

They'll be able to give you better support and this is their product.

According to dlinnovations: "Because the CEL5500 uses the same LightCommander™ DLPC200 API, users can easily transfer and utilize custom code developed on the LightCommander™ platform". I'll try to contact them. Hopefully someone can give me a solution to my problem!

The BP# value passed is wrong. 

Please refer to API documentation http://www.ti.com/lit/an/dlpa024c/dlpa024c.pdf  section 4.5.1 UINT8 DLP_Img_DownloadBitplanePatternToExtMem (const UINT8 *pBuf, UINT32 tot_bytes, UINT16 bpnum0b)

The bpnum0b must be a value in the range <0 - 959> for example - if you are displaying 5 1-bit patterns then you must call this API with pattern data, and the index # as 0,1,2,3, and 4
