DLPLCR6500EVM: Help with a broken piece of power management in the DMD board.

Hi there

I have been using DLP 6500 for some time now. Yesterday while working, I accidentally dropped a lens mount and it broke a small component labeled "L1" in the DMD board. Attched figure shows the component in the right corner, encircled in black. I dont know what this component is and how much should it cost to replace.

I would appreciate any leads on this. Called the Texas Instruments and they are asking for product ID. I dont have it. I bought through Digikey and they just provide the model and part number.

You can find this information in the design files on the DLPLCR6500EVM page under "Available Versions" as "DLP LightCrafter 6500 Reference Design":

This file contains BOMs for the main board and DMD board, along with schematics, CAD files, Gerbers, Assembly files, and Mounting concepts for the same.

I looked it up in the BOM table and it is a Coilcraft 22 µH indcutor:

Thank you Fizix for your prompt reply. I bought the component and tried to fix. Seems it aint working. Might have to buy the DMD board again.

Shab,

I am very sorry that this did not fix your issue. Did you inspect the pad and traces around the component to make sure there are no broken traces?
