DLPLCR4500: J11 Input trigger question

Part Number: DLPLCR4500

Hi,

I am able to run the sample code and obtain 3D scan when I connect my PG camera to pins 2 and 3 of J11. But when I connect to pins 5 and 6, the projector does not work. the reason I am trying this is that I want to connect two cameras for scanning if possible. any idea why pins 5 and 6 don't work?

Thanks,

HM

  • Hi Hadi,

Pins 5 and 6 are for TRIG_IN2, which is a different signal than TRIG_IN1 and has a different purpose. I recommend that you take a look at the DLPC350 Programmer's Guide: www.ti.com/.../dlpu010f.pdf, section 2.4.3.2 for more detail on what the various trigger signals are.

In our implementation of the 3D scanner, the camera triggers the next pattern to be displayed in the sequence using TRIG_IN1. To make two cameras work, you'll want them both to use TRIG_IN1. There are some software changes that will have to be made as well to control two cameras.

    Hope that helps,
    Paul
