DLPLCR4500EVM: How to start sequence automatically after boot

Part Number: DLPLCR4500EVM

Hello, apologies if this question has been treated already, I haven't seen it.

I am using the LightCrafter 4500 evaluation module in pattern sequence mode, with video (HDMI) input.

I have been able to save the configuration within a "solution" using the GUI, and append this solution to a firmware build, such that the device is directly getting into the right configuration when booting.

However, after starting up, the device is not automatically starting the sequence. I still need to go into the GUI to validate the sequence and play it.

Is there any way to have the sequence automatically started when the boots, without having to validate and play it from the GUI?

Thanks,

Gael

  • Hi Gael,

Welcome to the DLP forums and thanks for your question. When setting up a saved solution using video input, it will not automatically start. This is because of the system architecture - it needs time to sync to the video signal. If you were not using the Lightcrafter and instead on custom hardware, you'd be able to design a system to send the right commands at the right time, but on the EVM what you're looking to do is a known limitation.

    Best,
    Paul
