Customer just needs meaning of "-CM" suffix on end of p/n DLP9500UVFLNCM -- also needs to know where to connect HDMI (pins)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC410

To TI Support Team:

The customer needs the meaning of the  "-CM" suffix on the end of p/n  DLP9500UVFLNCM;  also, after looking at both the part and its evaluation kit (p/n  DLPD4X00KIT),  they are needing to know where/how to connect HDMI to part (pins) or eval board (connector) -- they are not finding such and are looking for suggestion(s) on this.

Can you help us with this? Can you provide the meaning of the "-CM" suffix on the end of the part number  DLP9500UVFLNCM; also, can you state whether this part or its eval kit (p/n  DLPD4X00KIT)  have a way to connect to HDMI (?) -- and if not if there is a suggestion for such? Lastly, to save me time and trouble from re-logging into TI account, can you please email the answer to me at dan.rapp@ser.com?

Thanks!

Dan Rapp

  • Hello Daniel,

The DLPD4X00KIT EVM does not have a direct way to connect HDMI.  An interface could be built to connect over the EXP connectors.

This DLPC410 controller is a binary pattern controller and only understands binary row data.

You may want to check with some our of design partners (link belos) and inquire to see if they have DLPC410 based solutions that already have an HDMI input.

Regarding the CM I will have to investigate this.  It seem to be that all of our distribution partners have this number (i.e. Digikey, Avnet, Arrow, Newark, etc . . .) but it not on ti.com.

  • Hello Daniel,

I have researched the origin of the CM added to the DLP9500UVFLN part number.  This is a clerical error and we are working with our distribution partners to get this cleared up.

DLP9500UVFLN is the correct orderable part number.
