DLP4500: Which is the corresponding mirror on the DMD?

Part Number: DLP4500

Hi,

If I set the mirror (1137,910) 'on' on the 912x1140 pattern, which is corresponding mirror on the DMD chip in the following photo?

Thanks,

Mei

  • Hi Mei,
(1137,910) is invalid pixel position on the the DMD, the valid range x,y is 912x1140.
In x position it should be between 0 - 911
In the y position it should be between 0 - 1139

  • Hi Sanjeev,

So, where is (910,1137) pixel? And, is the order on the pattern different from that on the DMD, e.g the vertical order on the image pattern is from top to bottom (1 to 912), while the row 1 is on the bottom of the DMD on DLP? Is this normal??

    Thanks,

    Mei

  • Hi Mei,

(x,y) = (910,1137) is invalid mirror location on the DMD. There are 912 columns and 1140 rows, your co-ordinate not within the array area.

You can just process image like how you are processing in camera or projection system,  just create a 912x1140 resolution bitmap and you can experiment. The picture depection show how the mirrors addressed, once you create a 912x1140 image, you can think top, left is the origin.
