Hello, I would like to test the DLPNIRSCANEVM: DLP® NIRscan™ Evaluation Module, however I only want to use the spectrometer and not the cuvette or the light source. Is there an option to buy only the spectrometer itself, ideally with a fibre connectors such as SMA?
Or, is it possible to remove the cuvette holder and the light source and attach an optical fibre to the slit instead? Is the cuvette holder permanently attached to the unit?

Welcome to the DLP Forums and thank you for your question.

With the DLPNIRSCANEVM, there is not a currently available alternative option. You can remove the transmissive head (cuvette holder) and rig up something to attach an optical fiber. We provide the design files for a reflective head in the file package for the design: www.ti.com/.../tidc293c

Perhaps you can modify that design for an SMA optics input instead. At the very least, it will show you how the input unit attaches to the spectrometer.
