DLPNIRSCANEVM: NIRScan GUI v2.1.0 on 13 inch screen

Part Number: DLPNIRSCANEVM

Hi

I am running GUI 2.1.0 on a 13 inch laptop and run out of deskspace with no chance to scroll (see attached screenshot) which means I cannot see the SCAN button nor the INTENSITY, ASBORBANCE REFLECTANCE buttons under the display window as they are obscured by the Device Status.

It is OK when in my office and have a 24 inch display available, but in the field with my 13 inch laptop it is very difficult to see what is happening.

Any suggestions, or any opportunity to scroll the display?

Thanks

Roger

  • Hi Roger,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the DLP Forums. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, we'll look at resolving this in the next release of the GUI. Can you tell me what operating system you're using? For reference, I'm using a Win7 machine with a 14" screen and when the GUI opens, the window is fairly small and I have probably 2 inches of screen on top and bottom with no buttons obscured. Have you tried expanding the window or is the screenshot you shared a full screen view?

I would recommend that you download the source code for the GUI and QT and build the GUI from the source. You'll be able to adjust the spacing by adding spacers or add scroll bars as needed for your particular screen size. I know this isn't an ideal solution but getting this GUI to scale correctly on all platforms has been a challenge and something that we are still working on.

    Thanks,
    Paul
