DLPNIRNANOEVM: Tiva Firmware update problem

Part Number: DLPNIRNANOEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC150

Hi,

I tried to update Tiva Firmware from 2.0.1 to 2.1.0 for NIRscan Nano, the update is complete and ask me to restart and reconnect the device. But when I try to reconnect the device, my PC cannot recognize the NIRscan Nano. Could you please guide me how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

Best,

Yanjun

  • Hi Yanjun,

That is a strange problem - sorry you're experiencing this difficulty. When you say that the GUI/PC doesn't recognize the Nano, do you get any error messages? Can you try uninstalling any drivers and then plug the Nano back in, letting the drivers reinstall automatically?

  • Hi Paul,

It works now. Here is what I did: unplug the NIRNANO, reboot the PC and plug in with another usb port.

I have a quick question, are there any changes we can directly send the scan patterns using commands to NIRNANO bypass the GUI?

    Thanks,

    Best,

    Yanjun

  • Sure, no reason you have to use the GUI. You can look at the DLPC150 programmer's guide and the DLPNIRNANOEVM user's guide for details on commands. I would also recommend looking at the source code for the GUI to understand how we send commands.

  • Thanks for your information. I just read through the two guides and find it explains scan workflow very straight. We are trying to add different scan type for the NANO and wondering can you provide the example code that can complete the scan. Appreciate your help.

  • Hi Yanjun,

Unfortunately we don't have an example code other than what might be provided in the software downloads and the documentation I mentioned. You might try searching the forums to see if others have posted examples of their work and how they got the system to behave the way they wanted it to.
