DLP2010NIR: Try Out Sagitto App with TI NIRscan(TM) Nano EVM to Determine Composition of Fabrics

Part Number: DLP2010NIR
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC150, DLP4500NIR
hello,
I’m workin in laboratory in south of France
I would like to use a dlp to do optical data transmission.
can you advise me on the dlp that I could use for optical data transmission?
the wavelength of the light beam is 1550 nm.
I'm interested in buying 2  equipments at texas instrument whose reference is

DLP2010NIR or DLP 4000NIR

I would like to know if we need  a controller with the DLP? or not? if we have to get a controller what is the weight ?

also, i would  like to know if this DLP works in a space environment?

Thank you for your answer.
  • Mea Manel,

Welcome to the E2E forums, and thanks for your interest in our DLP technology.

In this wavelength range, you are correct in looking at our NIR chipsets. In particular, You should direct your attention to the DLP2010NIR and DLP4500NIR DMDs (and accompanying chipsets). A DLP chipset includes the DMD, as well as a power management IC and a controller. In the case of the DLP2010NIR these are the DLPC150 and DLPA200x.

The DLP2010NIR is smaller and more lightweight. To evaluate this chipset, I recommend you check out the NIRscan Nano EVM, which is available here:

Let me know if you have additional questions. I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,
