Does anyone know what the R/G/B LEDs part# are on the light crafter?  Or if anyone knows what wavelength they run at?

Thanks!

It seems that these LED's are obsolete.  Do you have a source for them?

Does TI sell the ribbon cable with LEDs as a replacement part?

    Hi Jim,

I am looking into the Blue OSRAM LED part. I will let you know if I find a replacement part.

And, we do not sell the ribbon cables separately.

Please let me know if you can find the Red OSRAM LED as well.  The part number comes up as an Amber LED.

    Thanks,

Jim, "amber" is the OSRAM OSTAR standard for designating colors in the 620nm range.  This is the wavelength used on the lightcrafter red LED and most other projection engines in order to get good color gamuts.  I wouldn't look at the color designation, just the wavelength.

    Cheers,

    Arthur

Thanks for that bit of information.  The LED listed under that part number at Mouser has a wavelength of 624 nm which is slightly off from the 617 nm listed by TI, but if I look up that part number on OSRAM's site, it lists it at 617 nm.  I am assuming that Mouser has listed an incorrect value for the wavelength...

You can also contact OSRAM directly and they can give you some local distributors.  Just talk to a sales rep, I find their email replies to be a little slow

    Cheers,

    Arthur
