DLP LightCrafter EVM, Raspberry Pi and QT libraries.

Hello E2E Community,

I'm about to start a scholar project into related to HUD, after doing some research on the internet we realized that this technology could help us to complete our project.
I'm new on this technology so I reviewed the specs, but I still have some questions:

I'd like to know if the DLP LightCrafter EVM can be connected to a Raspberry Pi, other than HDMI connection in order to send commands to the projector.

Is the projector able to work directly with QT Libraries?

Any help is appreciated.

Regards,
Hector Juarez

  • Hello Hector Juarez,

LightCrafter EVM is driven via USB TCP interface it also has a QT based GUI application code, you can leverage from the source code.I don't see any issue with driving the Kit via miniHDMI connector for video input, and you need to have Ethernet over USB driver software on the Raspberry Pi and a USB connector host connector to send the commands.
