Driving External LEDs using DLP Lightcrafter

Hello,

I want to drive external LEDs using DLP Lightcrafter EVM , I didn't find any GPIOs in user manual.

If someone knows please let me know.

Hi Santosh,

There are a few resources that will be helpful for you. Take a look at the 'LED driver interface' signal descriptions in the DLPC300 datasheet.

The LightCrafter schematics also show the driver circuitry on the driver board and the output connector for the driver signals. You can find the schematics at this link (http://www.ti.com/LCRdesigndoc). The LED driver schematics can be found on sheet 5.

Dear Clinton,

DLPC 3000 shows LED driver interface (illumination interface) for RGB LEDs in the light engine and schematics shows similar. I want to drive more LEDs along with RGB LEDs in the light engine.

Hi Santosh,

Do you want to drive LEDs to illuminate the DMD or are these LEDs for another purpose (system diagnostics, etc.)? If they are for illumination, you should be able to use the LED driver signals from the DPLC300 to control your driver circuitry.
