what is use of power connector and power socket

Hello,

In the DLP Lightcrafter EVM connector list on page 16 shows 

no 3. power connector & no 6. power socket.

I understand from the user manual power socket is for powering the DLPLC EVM.

I am wondering what is the use of power connector.

Please clarify if someone knows.
