Does monitor frame rate affects HDMI streaming of DMD?

Hi

I want to stream 60Hz video to DLP Light Crafter 3000 using HDMI-DVI.

I know that DLP reads the displayed image through HDMI-DVI cable to the frame-rate I set.

Then what happens if the displayed video shows slight drop in its frame rate?

In such case, does DLP display the previous frame of the video?

Best regards,

Yoonseok

  • Hi Yoonseok,

If the LightCrafter is streaming external patterns from the video port and the input video signal is lost, the EVM will still be loading patterns into the display buffers. If no video data is present, it will be a blank display. You can observe this behavior if you test out this scenario.

Are you running into a particular issues or seeing something unexpected?

    Thanks,
    Clinton
