Dynamic control of DMD mirrors with external commands

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC300, ALP

Hello

I plan to use only DMD part of DLP3000, so I need to control all mirrors and numbers of them individually by myself,

I used DLP and entered images for projection so far, but this time I want to use it for applications more,

I really want to plan a DSP part separately for my DMD and not to use DSP part on our DLP.

I saw some about C++ codes or others in papers, but I am in doubt and confusion.

Should I write a code for this?

what should I do then?

help me to command mirrors in binary manner by myself, please

thank you

Kind Regards

Sheida

  • Hello Sheida,

The DLPC300 controller is required for reliable operation of the DLP3000. You must use the DLPC300 to interface with the DLP3000. Please let me know if I misunderstood your question.

  • Hello Trevor

thank you so much for your quick response.

I am going to control the mirrors individually by 0 and 1 as commands that I will lunch into SRAMS by myself not by images, I have the complete DLP but I will make a new DMD-based setup with a new light engine and use DMD to generate my favorable patterns using it,

my patterns will change alternatively so I need to command mirrors using a software not by images .

but I really don't know how I can do this,

which other parts of DLP  will I require to separate and place in my new setup with DMD so that DMD works well?

Is the  ALP software package a solution for me? can I control DMD with its commands?

how can I provide or purchase it?

thank you in advance for your help

    Best Regards

    Sheida

  • Hi Sheida,

For a guide on how to program the DLPC300 (the controller associated with the DLP3000), check out the DLPC300 Programmer's Guide. The DLP3000 Reference Design may also be able to answer some of your questions on required components.

I am going to move this thread into the forum which handles DLP3000 topics, they should be able to answer any additional questions there.

    Best regards,
    Trevor
